I managed to end this year with a 4.0, which among other things, was the highest of my concerns. I can now relax and prepare for my next course-load in the fall. Another success would be my transition out of my exploratory major – Biomedical Engineering – and into something that I am passionate about, as well as well-versed in: Mathematics, with a dual major in economics. Both of the successes have contributed equally to how content I am, as reflecting back on the two semesters behind me.
Apart from my raw academia, this semester was also a research success for me as I was able to present my first poster at the Undergraduate Research Symposium, which included novel research that I am proud of, exterior to my major of interest.
Finally, I am glad to be done with the semester because of the workload I have had outside of academia, rolling at the same time. Most weekends this spring, I would fly out to cities Thursday nights and not arrive back in Gainesville until past midnight on Sundays. These trips were great for my emersion and continuity in dance, but sure did put me through a long semester.
